Sustainability is now a vital part of how businesses operate, manage risks, and create long-term value. Finance professionals today must understand how sustainability connects with business strategy, stakeholder expectations, reporting obligations, and investment decisions.
To meet this need, Findulge, in collaboration with ECube, presents the Sustainability for Finance Professionals Certification Programme, designed to offer structured, practical knowledge for professionals at all levels.
The course is led by Shankar Venkateswaran, Managing Partner at ECube and one of India’s leading experts in sustainability and business responsibility. Shankar has been Chief of the Tata Sustainability Group, is a co-author of India’s National Guidelines on Responsible Business Conduct (NGRBC), and serves on the Ministry of Corporate Affairs’ BRSR Committee. He also teaches at IIM Calcutta and the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs.
The Programme Agenda: A Clear Learning Pathway (7.5 hours over 3 days)
Participants will:
- Gain a strong introduction to sustainability and ESG, including understanding key global risks, opportunities, and megatrends shaping the business landscape.
- Explore the business response to sustainability, including stakeholder expectations, governance, policies, and innovation approaches.
- Get familiar with key sustainability frameworks, such as NGRBC, UNGC, SDGs, GRI, CDP, and EU Reporting Standards (CSRD/ESRS, SFDR, CSDDD).
- Understand global and Indian sustainability reporting requirements, with a focus on India’s BRSR and BRSR Core reporting frameworks.
The programme offers professionals a robust understanding of how sustainability factors into business strategy, investment analysis, and risk management. It is designed to help professionals engage knowledgeably with sustainability conversations and reporting requirements in their organisations.
